nagios-plugins-contrib software package provides Plugins for nagios compatible monitoring systems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nagios-plugins-contrib
nagios-plugins-contrib is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nagios-plugins-contrib package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nagios-plugins-contrib *
You will get with nagios-plugins-contrib package name, version, architecture and description in a table
