nagios-nrpe-plugin software package provides Nagios Remote Plugin Executor Plugin, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nagios-nrpe-plugin
nagios-nrpe-plugin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nagios-nrpe-plugin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nagios-nrpe-plugin *
You will get with nagios-nrpe-plugin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
