mythtv-status software package provides Show the status of a MythTV backend, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mythtv-status
mythtv-status is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mythtv-status package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mythtv-status *
You will get with mythtv-status package name, version, architecture and description in a table
