mythtv-frontend software package provides Personal video recorder application (client), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mythtv-frontend
mythtv-frontend is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mythtv-frontend package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mythtv-frontend *
You will get with mythtv-frontend package name, version, architecture and description in a table
