How to Install mpich2 software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

mpich2 software package provides Transitional dummy package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install mpich2

mpich2 is installed in your system.

Make ensure the mpich2 package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mpich2 *

You will get with mpich2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
