How to Install mpd software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

mpd software package provides Music Player Daemon, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install mpd

mpd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the mpd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mpd *

You will get with mpd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
