mosquitto-clients software package provides Mosquitto command line MQTT clients, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mosquitto-clients
mosquitto-clients is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mosquitto-clients package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mosquitto-clients *
You will get with mosquitto-clients package name, version, architecture and description in a table
