mono-csharp-shell software package provides interactive C# shell, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mono-csharp-shell
mono-csharp-shell is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mono-csharp-shell package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mono-csharp-shell *
You will get with mono-csharp-shell package name, version, architecture and description in a table
