mono-4.0-gac software package provides Mono GAC tool (for CLI 4.0), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mono-4.0-gac
mono-4.0-gac is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mono-4.0-gac package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mono-4.0-gac *
You will get with mono-4.0-gac package name, version, architecture and description in a table
