mjpegtools-dbg software package provides MJPEG capture/editing/replay and MPEG encoding toolset (debug), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mjpegtools-dbg
mjpegtools-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mjpegtools-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mjpegtools-dbg *
You will get with mjpegtools-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
