mi2svg software package provides a tool for creating svg presentations of Mapinfo mif/mid maps, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mi2svg
mi2svg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mi2svg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mi2svg *
You will get with mi2svg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
