mew-beta-bin software package provides external commands for Mew (development version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mew-beta-bin
mew-beta-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mew-beta-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mew-beta-bin *
You will get with mew-beta-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
