mergelog software package provides utility that merges httpd log files by date, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mergelog
mergelog is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mergelog package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mergelog *
You will get with mergelog package name, version, architecture and description in a table
