mercurial-git software package provides Git plugin for Mercurial, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mercurial-git
mercurial-git is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mercurial-git package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mercurial-git *
You will get with mercurial-git package name, version, architecture and description in a table
