memlockd software package provides daemon to lock files into RAM, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install memlockd
memlockd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the memlockd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep memlockd *
You will get with memlockd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
