memdump software package provides utility to dump memory contents to standard output, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install memdump
memdump is installed in your system.
Make ensure the memdump package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep memdump *
You will get with memdump package name, version, architecture and description in a table
