melting software package provides compute the melting temperature of nucleic acid duplex, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install melting
melting is installed in your system.
Make ensure the melting package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep melting *
You will get with melting package name, version, architecture and description in a table
