md-modules-3.13.0-24-powerpc-s software package provides Multi-device support (raid, device-mapper, lvm), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install md-modules-3.13.0-24-powerpc-s
md-modules-3.13.0-24-powerpc-s is installed in your system.
