matchbox-keyboard-im software package provides on-screen keyboard, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install matchbox-keyboard-im
matchbox-keyboard-im is installed in your system.
Make ensure the matchbox-keyboard-im package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep matchbox-keyboard-im *
You will get with matchbox-keyboard-im package name, version, architecture and description in a table
