makefs software package provides create a cd9660 or ffs file system image from a directory tree, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install makefs
makefs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the makefs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep makefs *
You will get with makefs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
