mairix software package provides indexes and searches email in locally stored email, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mairix
mairix is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mairix package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mairix *
You will get with mairix package name, version, architecture and description in a table
