macs software package provides Model-based Analysis of ChIP-Seq on short reads sequencers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install macs
macs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the macs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep macs *
You will get with macs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
