How to Install lyx software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

lyx software package provides document processor, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install lyx

lyx is installed in your system.

Make ensure the lyx package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lyx *

You will get with lyx package name, version, architecture and description in a table
