How to Install lvm2 software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

lvm2 software package provides Linux Logical Volume Manager, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install lvm2

lvm2 is installed in your system.

Make ensure the lvm2 package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lvm2 *

You will get with lvm2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
