How to Install luatex software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

luatex software package provides next generation TeX engine, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install luatex

luatex is installed in your system.

Make ensure the luatex package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep luatex *

You will get with luatex package name, version, architecture and description in a table
