How to Install luajit software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

luajit software package provides Just in time compiler for Lua programming language version 5.1, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install luajit

luajit is installed in your system.

Make ensure the luajit package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep luajit *

You will get with luajit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
