lua-mode software package provides Emacs mode for editing Lua programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lua-mode
lua-mode is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lua-mode package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lua-mode *
You will get with lua-mode package name, version, architecture and description in a table
