How to Install lsof software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

lsof software package provides Utility to list open files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install lsof

lsof is installed in your system.

Make ensure the lsof package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lsof *

You will get with lsof package name, version, architecture and description in a table
