logwatch software package provides log analyser with nice output written in Perl, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install logwatch
logwatch is installed in your system.
Make ensure the logwatch package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep logwatch *
You will get with logwatch package name, version, architecture and description in a table
