logtail software package provides Print log file lines that have not been read (deprecated), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install logtail
logtail is installed in your system.
Make ensure the logtail package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep logtail *
You will get with logtail package name, version, architecture and description in a table
