logcheck-database software package provides database of system log rules for the use of log checkers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install logcheck-database
logcheck-database is installed in your system.
Make ensure the logcheck-database package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep logcheck-database *
You will get with logcheck-database package name, version, architecture and description in a table
