loadlin software package provides loader (running under DOS) for LINUX kernel images, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install loadlin
loadlin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the loadlin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep loadlin *
You will get with loadlin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
