linux-signed-image-generic-lts software package provides Signed Generic Linux kernel image, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install linux-signed-image-generic-lts
linux-signed-image-generic-lts is installed in your system.
Make ensure the linux-signed-image-generic-lts package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep linux-signed-image-generic-lts*
You will get with linux-signed-image-generic-lts package name, version, architecture and description in a table
