linux-image-powerpc-smp software package provides Linux kernel image on PowerPC SMP., you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install linux-image-powerpc-smp
linux-image-powerpc-smp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the linux-image-powerpc-smp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep linux-image-powerpc-smp *
You will get with linux-image-powerpc-smp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
