licq software package provides multi-protocol instant messaging client (base files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install licq
licq is installed in your system.
Make ensure the licq package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep licq *
You will get with licq package name, version, architecture and description in a table
