How to uninstall or remove libzip2 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libzip2 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libzip2 

Uninstall libzip2 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libzip2 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libzip2 
Use Purging libzip2

If you use with purge options to libzip2 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libzip2 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libzip2
