libzip-dev software package provides library for reading, creating, and modifying zip archives (development), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libzip-dev
libzip-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libzip-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libzip-dev *
You will get with libzip-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
