libxpm4 software package provides X11 pixmap library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libxpm4
libxpm4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libxpm4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libxpm4 *
You will get with libxpm4 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
