libxine1-plugins software package provides xine video/media player library ? meta package for common plugins, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libxine1-plugins
libxine1-plugins is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libxine1-plugins package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libxine1-plugins *
You will get with libxine1-plugins package name, version, architecture and description in a table
