libxdg-basedir1 software package provides Implementation of the XDG Base Directory Specifications, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libxdg-basedir1
libxdg-basedir1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libxdg-basedir1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libxdg-basedir1 *
You will get with libxdg-basedir1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
