libvtk6 software package provides Visualization Toolkit - A high level 3D visualization library - runtime, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libvtk6
libvtk6 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libvtk6 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libvtk6 *
You will get with libvtk6 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
