libvips-tools software package provides image processing system good for very large images (tools), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libvips-tools
libvips-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libvips-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libvips-tools *
You will get with libvips-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
