libvformat-dev software package provides library to read and write vcard files (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libvformat-dev
libvformat-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libvformat-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libvformat-dev *
You will get with libvformat-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
