libuuid-perl software package provides Perl extension for using UUID interfaces as defined in e2fsprogs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libuuid-perl
libuuid-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libuuid-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libuuid-perl *
You will get with libuuid-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
