libupsclient3 software package provides network UPS tools - client library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libupsclient3
libupsclient3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libupsclient3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libupsclient3 *
You will get with libupsclient3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
