libunix-mknod-perl software package provides Perl extension for mknod, major, minor, and makedev, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libunix-mknod-perl
libunix-mknod-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libunix-mknod-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libunix-mknod-perl *
You will get with libunix-mknod-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
