libtrycatch-perl software package provides first class try catch semantics for Perl, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtrycatch-perl
libtrycatch-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtrycatch-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtrycatch-perl *
You will get with libtrycatch-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
