libtrace3-dev software package provides development headers for the libtrace network processing library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtrace3-dev
libtrace3-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtrace3-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtrace3-dev *
You will get with libtrace3-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
