libtomcat7-java software package provides Servlet and JSP engine -- core libraries, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtomcat7-java
libtomcat7-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtomcat7-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtomcat7-java *
You will get with libtomcat7-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
