libtaglib-cil-dev software package provides CLI library for accessing audio and video files metadata, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtaglib-cil-dev
libtaglib-cil-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtaglib-cil-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtaglib-cil-dev *
You will get with libtaglib-cil-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
